Guest guest
Does anyone know of and other good cookbooks that show you how to cook in the old traditional ways, such as soaked grains, seeds, and legumes, cooking slowly? " Healing with Whole foods " , does suggest soaking and cooking slowly, but is based on vegetarianism. I am not a veggie person and never will be, but the book basically decribes the healing qualities of each food and who should and should not eat them based on their condition. It does even suggest eating meat if weak. I just ignore anything that says stay away from meat. I always get headaches when I avoid meat, like on Fridays during lent. I am hypoglycemic, and it took some convincing for me to go ahead and eat meat on fast days. (I don't like fish, I am alleric I think anyway)
