Guest guest
Maybe I should re-word the question to be more clear. If I say, boiled pistashios or pecans would they become soft like as if I boiled peanuts? Boiled peanuts are delicious, but I have never seen a recipe that says to soak them first. Do you soak them in the shell, then boil? Please let me know how you make them, Thanks. Looking forward to a good boiled peanut. The last ones I had were canned. I was readting on the net that you can use not fresh peanuts provided you boil them longer. I have a recipe bookmarked using dry peanuts. ps. Are other nuts soaked in the sheel or out of the shell? > Yes, boiled peanuts are a southern specialty and they are quite soft and > very salty as they are soaked and cooked in brine.
