" There are probably substances in milk that will pass into the milk, but " directly into milk " ? That would mean that the milk would have to go directly into the Mom's blood, which would probably kill the mother first. Milk glands are basically oversize sweat glands and pull stuff out of the bloodstream, so anything that goes into the blood can maybe get into the milk. Proteins like casein aren't *supposed* to get into the blood but sometimes they do, if the person has " leaky gut syndrome " . On the celiac list a number of Mom's reported problems with gluten intolerance in their babies, from breast milk while the Mom was ingesting gluten (which, like casein, isn't supposed to get into the blood). If a baby isn't exposed to gluten, then theoretically it can't develop an intolerance for it, so breastfed babies are supposed to be safe (but aren't). I'd imagine the same issues can apply to milk (cow or soy). Heidi Schuppenhauer Trillium Custom Software Inc. heidis@...
Guest guest
I drank raw cows milk when I was pregnant and nursing all four of my children and they did fine. In fact one I had to hold off of cows milk until she was 16 months old because she was having problems with it at a year, but she did fine on breast milk... Grace, a Augustine I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive. I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish you enough ''Hello's " to get you through the final goodbye. --anonymous ----- Original Message ----- From: Roman Sent: Tuesday, June 11, 2002 2:41 AM Subject: Milk passes directly into the breast milk??? I found the following at http://www.mercola.com/2002/jun/8/soy.htm. Does anyone know if it's true?
