But if you are unlucky to get one, salmonella infection can range from mild to severe, but its symptoms are usually clear: abdominal cramps, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, chills, fever, or headache. These typically appear anywhere from six to 72 hours after you eat a salmonella-tainted
Guest guest
--Yes, I guess it could be salmonella. I always thought I would be a lot sicker than I am if I got in trouble with salmonella. I didn't know there could be mild cases. I have had some of those symptoms you mentioned, but no chills, cramps or fever. It did start with a mild headache. Actually the headache started before the ice cream or mayo and after the breakfast eggs. I'm still having symptoms tonight, but I do feel somewhat better. It is a puzzle. I haven't eaten out in a restaurant in the last 72 hours or I would be blaming them. I am not giving up eating raw foods because of this illness. I believe the improvements to my diet have benefited me in a very big way. Maybe I just picked up a bug somewhere along the way. Anything can happen. I made some Copper River salmon gravlox today for the first time, so I must be on the mend. Thanks for your input.
