Hi yall!

I just joined the group. I have hep B antibodies and chronic hep C. I live

in Dallas/Ft. Worth area of Texas. I was diagnosed about 10 years ago when

donating blood. My liver enzymes have been normal for the last 9 years or

so.

I haven't had a PCR, genotype nor liver biopsy.. yet. I was laid off a few

years ago and started researching Hepatitis and learned about all the things

I wasn't supposed to be doing (like drinking and stressing) and the new

tests I never have had. But, not having a job nor insurance, I am putting

the tests on hold for now.

I tried to get into a local trial on infergen, but I didn't qualify because

of the normal lfts :(

I saw my first gastro last July. He's a great guy. He put me on Zoloft and

recently on Celebrex, both really help. When I called the doctor I had 10

years ago to get my records for the gastro, I found out they were lost and

there is no record of me ever testing positive for hep. For now, I'm gonna

leave it at that so I can be " no pre-existing condition " while I look for a

perm job. I've been doing temp work for a while now.

My symptoms are the usual ones... fatigue, mood swings (better now with the

zoloft), muscle aches and cramps, joint pain (better now with the Celebrex),

some insomnia, stress induced diahrea (sp), headaches, night sweats (I'm

44.. maybe pre-menopause?), frequent urination, lack of concentration, etc

etc.

I'm married, hubby lost his job a few weeks ago. I have two grown kids, 24

and 21, and 3 grandkids. I'm still job hunting, barely make it thru a work

week. Ginseng and mah juang (sp) are my friends. By the end of the week, I'm

exhausted, hurt, feel swell, really not a nice person :)

I've complained enough haha. Nice to meet yall. I continue to try to learn

as much as I can about this insidious disease and keep a positive outlook.
