Guest guest
How many different ways do people need to explain the USDA Food Pyramind before they realize it is a fraud? > > >>>> Announcing the start up of a new Health Discussion Group for > > > anyone who would enjoy participating in lively discussions about > > > Personal Health. > > > > >>>>>> There is only one requirement for membership: > > > > > > Belief that Prevention and Living a Healthy Lifestyle works, > > > or a sincere interest in learning about Prevention and > > > Healthy Lifestyles. > > > > ... I didn't find that anywhere on the group's home page.< hi, roman-- the group's home page provides a link to a " natural health perspective " website, which provides further info on what they consider to be a healthy diet. although they say that they advocate returning to a more traditional diet to curtail the rise of diseases of civilization, they do specifically promote devotion to the pyramid (scheme) and avoidance of sat fats: " To answer the question: " What is a good healthy diet?, " we can compare what man used to eat to what the average modern person eats today (i.e., the Western Diet[7]). The Western Diet[7] has twice the amount of fat, a much higher ratio of saturated to unsaturated fatty acids, a third of the daily fiber intake, much more sugar and salt, fewer complex carbohydrates, and a reduced intake of nutrients; compared to what the human species ate a mere ten generations ago.[1] " does anyone have the time and inclination to set them straight? allene

I had a message returned by the group moderator accusing me a flaming. Apparently the moderator needs to approve all of your opinions for the first week you are a member. I would say don't try to set them straight. Put your energies elsewhere.
