Hi Mark,

I was wondering how you eat your seaweed since you are a raw fooder.

I ordered some dried kelp that comes in large pieces from Pacific

Botanicals. I've never used it before so I'm not sure how to prepare

it, especially since I eat only raw these days....

Any ideas?

Hi Becky -

I also bought from a coastal processing company in Newfoundland. They sun

dry the kelp after harvesting it from the sea near the coast. It is placed

whole in bags and shipped that way. I dry it out a bit more and then

pulverize it in a blender. Then I fill some vegetable capsules with the

powder and take those. I've also purchased other seaweeds from the organic

store and just chewed on them like beef jerky. Those can easily be placed

in stews and soups to add zest and nutrition if cooked foods are on the menu.
