Hi Dedy,

Wow, I had lost that much weight after my last baby (#5) and had

gotten down smaller than I ever was in high school via raw food

veganism. However, when I started adding back in protein sources and

fats after I saw Dr. Todd, I started gaining weight. I gained about 20

to 25 lbs., then I got pregnant and I've gained aprox. another 40 to 45

lbs. in 5 months. I'm worried what the next few months will add to me

by the time I deliver this baby. Plus, I nurse, so I know I need to eat

the protein and fats, but it sure is tempting to go back to the all raw

fruits and salads. It's just I did experience some deficiencies, so I

know now it's not the healthiest way to go. That's why I'm desperately

trying to balance my diet. It sounds as though eating predominantly

fatty meat and salads with limited quantities of fruit is the way to go

though. I just wish I liked the texture and taste of meat better.

Thanks,

Robin

<<Hi Robin,

I managed to gain 87lb!!! through having two kids and lost some (33lb)

by virtue of actually giving birth and breast feeding and the extra

weight remained for the next 15 years!!! and then I went on a

Palaeolithic eating plan with many NT principles incorporated into that,

initially to cure my chronic Candida. it worked for the Candida but

amazingly I managed to lose 50 lb. in the process I've kept it this way

since Jan. 2000... maybe it could work for you?! it should be good to

eat lots of vegetables with meat fish fruit and nuts etc. I did eat

sweet potatoes or new potatoes on occasions and the odd yoghurt. I felt

just fine. lots of energy loss of weight seems OK to me.

Good luck with the pregnancy.

Dedy>>
