The two are extremely different animals due to cows' inevitable dysbiosis when on a grain diet. Obviously the anthropological data collected in NAPD indicate that raw dairy is extremely healthful, but it refers strictly to raw grassfed dairy. I know some disagree, but I'm a little leery of eating raw meat or dairy from non-pastured sources. Luckily I don't have to, but not everyone has that luxury, and if my financial fortunes change, I might not either. *****again - dunno. but it sounds plausible to me. i certainly wouldn't think twice about drinking pasteured raw milk. but i do currently drink milk from goats that get both pasture and grain and i don't think twice about that either. i might though, think twice or 3 times about drinking factory-farmed raw milk for the reason you state... Exactly. Someone who's been living for decades on fried chicken and mashed potatoes drinks a glass of raw milk for the first time in thirty years and has a bit of digestive discomfort while the bacteria set themselves up in his digestive tract, and suddenly raw milk contains pathogenic bacteria.
