Guest guest
I'm sure there are a number of reasons, but the first thing I think of is menopause and the typical weight gain hell for women " of a certain age. " But I wouldn't just write it off as that and would certainly explore other reasons, but I know what that means.....a lot of questions to a bunch of doctors who don't have many answers. Each specialist will explore " his/her " area by running you through a lot of tests to rule out various possibilities. I'm very frustrated by the entire medical profession these days and hope that you can find answers to your questions. Dorothy

Guest guest
Jana, You have repeatedly said you aren't eating much at all which means you may very well be gaining weight from starvation. When you do not eat the amount of calories that your body requires or close to what it requires your body stops burning fat to save you from starving. You need to eat 500 calories less than what you need each day to lose this weight. Also you mention drinking alot dairy (i.e.Milk) which will cause you to gain weight too. Milk is essentially a lot of fat. You need to plan your meals better. Eat smaller meals more frequently and avoid processed foods, sugars, flours, fats, and the dairy products. You might want to go buy some Milk Thistle too at a local health food store and take vitamin c in large quantities, a good B complex vitamin, and a multi vitamin to help with your problems. I don't take any meds at all and am not going through any treatment but I notice when I don't eat enough I gain weight, my liver starts hurting and I feel very bloated. I begin feeling horrible until I get back on track with the vitamins, herbs, and eating better. I'm also exercising on a bike to build up strength that I have lost and to turn any fat into muscle. Look at sites that give you what foods are good for your liver and which to avoid. Look for natural solutions to compliment your treatments and if at all possible get off the Prozac as soon as you can. Prozac will not help you to lose weight and they are actually finding that it really doesn't do much for depression. I think you will feel happier once you get to eating better, losing the weight, and building up the strength in your body that we all need at this age. As we age our muscles become weaker, our bones start to ache more and we tend to get lazy about taking care of ourselves. Good Luck. > > 11:15 Hello everyone, > I have read many posts about weight, but they are mostly about the > people that have a hard time gaining.
