We're not just high-protein, we're high-fat! So perhaps they'll sue Sally

Fallon as well as Dr. Atkins. Filthy bastards. PCRM is one of the most

disgusting organizations around.

And, according to Neal D. Barnard, M.D., president of the Physicians

Committee

for Responsible Medicine, this could just be the first in a series of

lawsuits.

The PCRM says that some doctors – those who prescribe high-protein diets –

could

be next. " Given the many health risks associated with meat-heavy,

high-protein

diets, doctors who prescribe them could be assuming serious legal risk, "

said

Mindy Kursban, PCRM's chief legal counsel.

------------->Mike, PCRM is an arm of PETA. this looks like sheer scare

tactics to me. anything to get people to stop eating meat - that's the way

PETA tends to operate.

anyhow, we're not doctors (most of us anyway) and we're not prescribing

anything. most of us are sticking our noses up at all these diet gurus and

their recommendations, and simply following more traditional patterns of

nutrition. which happens to include meat.

Did anyone happen to catch the Fox News segment last year where PETA was

advocating DOGS be fed STEAMED VEGETABLES (!) ? They tested it out to see if

the dog preferred steam broccolli to meat, and the dog wouldn't touch the

broccoli and went over to the meat. It was hilarious.

" What can one say of a soul, of a heart, filled with compassion? It is a

heart which burns with love for every creature: for human beings, birds, and

animals, for serpents and for demons. The thought of them and the sight of

them make the tears of the saint flow. And this immense and intense

compassion, which flows from the heart of the saints, makes them unable to

bear the sight of the smallest, most insignificant wound in any creature.

Thus they pray ceaselessly, with tears, even for animals, for enemies of the

truth, and for those who do them wrong. "

--- Just for safety let's keep some livestock out on the backroads of

America. Maybe some solar cookers, too! Dennis

I'm sure nobody in these legal proceedings is going to mention that the fat now

used in all fast food restaurants is hydrogenated fat. And we all know what

that does to us.

Gosh darn. How funny. I made this really good salad and dog wouldn't

eat it! Dog won't eat grapes, apples or tomatoes either. Don't they

know what is good for them? But contrary to popular belief I saw a

horse one time eat a hamburger.

Does that mean that only left wing wackos like the PCRM have first

amendment rights?

When my husband was a boy, he had a dog named Buster. Buster, the

beagle, liked to dig up carrots from the garden and eat them. Talk

about hilarious! Don't tell any vegetarians this story! :)
