This is great. thanks for posting

question for our experts

quoted:

" There is also accumulating evidence that non-saturated fats are important for

fending off heart disease and weight gain. "

I thought is was saturated fats we wanted for this. Any ideas what they are

talking about?

and some folk will die rather than admit failure

" The Pritkin Longevity Center, one of the first American programs to promote a

low-fat, fibre- rich carbohydrate diet, released a press release this week

stating, " Low-fat, high-carb diets full of unrefined carbs still have the most

proven healthy effects of all diets. "

Sure, this is just a result of the prevailing " wisdom " that saturated fat

is bad but unsaturated fat is good. Saturated fat is, in fact, best.

For some reason, apparently because of the equal sign the thing doesn't work

right.

Note there are two lines. You must cut and paste into the open field as one long

line for it to work, took me three cut and pastes to get it all in, then the

file worked just fine

Thank you, ! That finally worked. It's strange, because I cut and

pasted the URL into a Word document, and when I compared the URL from the

site where the article is, side by side with the URL I had used, it was the

same. Weird!

Interesting that the chairman of the department of Nutrition at the Harvard

School of Public Health is taking issue with the low fat business, because

that is where a lot of the low fat stuff has come from, if I remember

correctly. It's encouraging, because it suggests that the stiff resistance

to changing the low fat mantra may be crumbling. It would be interesting to

see Dr. ' keynote speech to the American Diabetes Asso.
