Sounds like a good idea, but the business of healthy nutrition, and countering current misguided nutritional ideas is so complex. Any suggestions for good websites that address this particular issue of childhood obesity, with good info (maybe even some good research), and also good personal stories of improved outcomes resulting from a better diet. It's not easy summarizing WAP, Sally, and in one letter! Back in my past days as a dietitian in Washington, DC, for a lobbying seminar, we learned how important it is to focus lobbying efforts on a single important issue - hence Sally's focus on the 'Real Milk' issue now with some promising progress reported in the recent 'Wise Traditions.' Perhaps this is an opportunity to focus, but on what - the dangers of processed foods? the dangers of low fat diets? the importance of healthy fats? It all fits together, of course. Any suggestions? We need to get politically savvy and active, before any more damage is done. > Three senators - Bill Frist, Jeff Bingaman and Dodd - > introduced legislation Tuesday aiming at reducing obesity, especially > among children. http://www.miami.com/mld/miami/news/politics/3766498.htm > At least they are beginning to show alarm!
