Check Dom's site or the kefir-making group. Some folks chew the grains (the extras) for the anti-cancer properties. Beta-glucan, I've also heard, can help. Dom also I think recommends some herbs. It is interesting to me that the people who claim to have recovered from cancer are either vegan or eat lots of meat. Makes me wonder what the common factors are. Part of it might be the bacteria. There was an interesting case I heard about that happened in the 1800's or early 1900's. A guy had melanoma, and was basically dying. But then he got a bad case of food poisoning. The doctor pulled him through the food poisoning -- but after that, he went into remission. There is a theory that when the body is exposed to lots of bacteria it does something to the immune system (kick-starts it). A doctor recently tried inducing a mild form of the same food poisoning in melanoma patients, with good results. I wish I had more information on it: I'm not sure if it is a rumor or a good study, but it sounds promising. >I know I have been sending a lot of requests lately. I hope that is >okay? Personally, I love hearing the answers! Nothing better for a good discussion than a good question. Heidi
Guest guest
----- Original Message ----- From: h2ocolor1937 <h2ocolor@...> I am curious to > know if anyone has heard of people with cancer getting better by > including raw meats, fish and raw grass fed beef or any other meats > for that matter. ### There is a book called We Want to Live by Aajonus Vonderplanitz who writes about a woman named Owanza who cured herself with raw foods including all kinds of raw meats. In his book he claims that she had terminal cancer, but was able to put it into remission. However, she continued to discard tumors, particle by particle for years. You can leave a message for him at 310-226-7055 or e-mail him at optimal@... You can see more information on him on this website at http://www.primaldiet.com/ He also claims to have had cancer. I don't have cancer, but another disease. I did start off with the vegan diet and was able to put my condition into remission with the vegan diet. But, I was able to make more improvements once I started adding meats back into my diet. I was pretty strict vegan for two years during which time I became B12 deficient. Upon eating meats again (I started with raw fish, raw butter, and raw goat cheese.) my condition made a significant improvement. Maybe I didn't have to go the vegan route, but I certainly think it did help clean up my system from all the junk I ate before my disease got out of control. Hope this helps, Marla
Guest guest
There was an article in last months Townshend Letter for Doctors and Patients about probiotics and cancer. Chris ____ " What can one say of a soul, of a heart, filled with compassion? It is a heart which burns with love for every creature: for human beings, birds, and animals, for serpents and for demons. The thought of them and the sight of them make the tears of the saint flow. And this immense and intense compassion, which flows from the heart of the saints, makes them unable to bear the sight of the smallest, most insignificant wound in any creature. Thus they pray ceaselessly, with tears, even for animals, for enemies of the truth, and for those who do them wrong. Guest guest
Hi I am very, very interested in reading this article on probiotics and cancer. I could not track it down at their web site so I have written to them for help in finding it. Thanks for the tip. I can not help but think that more often than not, during most illnes and certainly before a person becomes ill, the whole digestive system must be out of balance. Digestion is crucial for positive health. This is why I have worked so hard to correct my own imbalances. It has been worth all the effort.
