Guest guest
Dave, The chair that you use..Is it back friendly(I think it is called " ergonomic " ?)..If so where did you get it..I need to consider getting a chair that causes less pain in my pain when I sit in it.. I agree with the others who replied and said you may have to just say know. You are in pain everyday and I'm sure your income is limited by your condition. You are not in a position to be a caregiver. You shouldn't especially in your condition and in this economy put yourself in deep debt. I think the advice of have your daughter move to Vegas may be a great idea. I'm not sure why you are scared for your daughters safety but if her husband is a threat to others and himself maybe he should check into a hospital. Even with no insurance they have to treat him. If they are that tight on money they should also be eligible for State or County assistance. Foodstamps, cash assistance, and medicaid. I know I received all three when we were at our worst financially. They should look into this. I may be reading into this wrong but is your daughter worried you will become ill because then you will no longer be able to help them? That seems rather self centered and not truly caring about your well being. I apologize if I'm misunderstanding your post or the relationship you have with your daughter. It's not cheap, we bought it with the economic stimulus check we got in July. We did our part to stimulate the economy. It was $1200.00. I had one previously that my wife bought me when I had my neck operation, I wore it out over 10 years use. The heat wore out first, then the massage died about 2 years ago. The chair is fine though, we kept it and my wife uses it now. Another one to look at is do a Google search for the Zero Gravity church. It's supposed to be very good for the back and cost less than the La-Z-Boy. Try them out, there are several models some with 3 points of massage and one with 5. I got the 5 that actually has 10 different motors. It hits you in the shoulders, mid back, lower back, butt, and thighs. It really does the job. The only caveat is the chair is warranted for life, the massage & heat only for 1 year. Good luck trying them out, Dave
