I've been fortunate enough to listen to Carey Nosler on the Sacramento CA

station Talk 650. His times bounce around because of sports, but he is on

Sundays. Two weeks ago he had Sally Fallon on, gee that was *great* listening,

and finally got my wife to move in this direction. Last Sunday I caught a real

MD who is onto this idea, it would have been great to hear the two women

together on the same program, they would really compliment each other's

knowledge. This Dr is Dr. Schwarzbein

http://www.schwarzbeinprinciple.com/

Among other things, while listening to her diabetic patients complaints about

other doctors not being able to help them, she figured out, on her own, with no

prior knowledge, the glycemic index, and how food combining changes the index of

some foods. She specifically mentioned potato's. Without butter it spikes, with

butter, it doesn't. Of course she has books to sell, but that criticism is only

leveled at the pro fat lobby, not weight watcher and the countless other low fat

groups that toe the party line while selling their own books.

COWS

We went to the Sonoma County Fair last night. They had Jerseys, Guernseys,

Holsteins, Short Horns (?) and Herefords, so, presumably any or all of them

could be seen while driving through California. The expression for our brown

fields is " California Gold "
