That is interesting about the potatoes. I've found the same thing. I've

never got bloated or ill feeling from potatoes, and sweet potatoes esp. are

loaded with good stuff.

What is also interesting is that potatoes seem to be different for cows

too. Our meat distributor (who is not anti-grain feeding especially), says

it's hard for farmers to get " well marbled " Longhorns. Because, " Longhorns

won't eat the grain -- they go clear down to the bottom of the bin and eat

the potatoes and won't eat the grain, and how can you possibly fatten a cow

on potatoes???? " .

I thought that was in interesting comment: apparently in her world it's a

" known fact " that you cannot make cows fat on potatoes, but you can on

grain. Goes into my " facts I don't know what to do with " bin. I think the

folks who simplify the carb issue into " grams of carb " are missing some of

the facts though.
