Hi gang,

A friend in Missouri was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and sent home to

die. There was a tumor on the pancreas wrapping around the bile duct,

leading to jaundice which is why they starting looking for something (to

discover the source of the jaundice). The tumor has spread to the liver,

which is fairly extensively involved. Surgery was ruled out because it

spread, and he ruled out trying chemotherapy because the liver is involved

and he figured the toxic chemicals would sit in his body longer since the

liver would have a harder time filtering them out. They told him to " get his

affairs in order " and " eat whatever you want " (sounds like they believe

there is absolutely no hope).

I figure, he's not doing chemo so that's great, and that he should

immediately see a naturopath, make a major change in diet and start on

various herbal supplements. The gist of what I recommended to him (with the

caveat that he involve a naturopath to help establish a plan with him) are:

FOOD:

-unheated honey, bee pollen, and royal jelly

-raw milk, butter, and cream (copiously)

-raw and fermented grass fed meat and fish (kibbeh, ceviche, etc.)

-strict exclusion of refined carbohydrates and processed foods, artificial

colors, preservatives, sugar substitutes, etc.

-NT beverages: beet kvass, whey drink, kombucha, raw liver cocktail, cabbage

juice tonic, carrot juice cocktail

-NT lacto-fermented products, particularly sauerkraut

SUPPLEMENTS (compiled from numerous herbals I have; some duplication among

the lists, of course):

Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Rosemary, Black Pepper, Cardamom, Ginger, Gotu

Kola, Kelp, Dandelion, Una de gato (or Cat's claw)

OTHER:

-gentle daily walks and/or yoga

-prayer and/or meditation

-acupuncture, acupressure, reiki, saunas, and/or massages?

-castor oil packs over affected area

-strict avoidance of pollutants of all kinds (synthetic fragrances,

household toiletries and chemicals, etc.)

I listed a number of websites and books for him, too.

I was wondering if anyone else has any ideas beyond what I have told him

about so far.

I was also wondering what people think about how much fat he should eat. NT

and other sources are very pro-animal fat, and I am generally (from organic

grass-fed, hormone-free, antibiotic-free, vaccine-free, humanely-raised

animals), but I wondered if the involvement of the bile duct makes that a

problem? If he's having trouble secreting bile to digest the fat, could

eating fat cause more problems than it solves? They put a stent in to bypass

or help the bile duct so maybe it's okay?
