And there are microphages running around doing cleanup. Also hydrogen peroxide. Theoretically, your blood is sterile: there are not supposed to be bacteria, good or bad. Your gut is a different issue: it is supposed to be FULL of bacteria, but the mix has to be right. Maybe the lactic acid buildup during exercise kills a lot of stuff in the blood though.
