Has anyone had experience with osteoarthritis? My Mother is getting REALLY bad

and she's on a 1.5 year waiting list for 2 hip replacements. Do you know of any

discussion groups that specifically address this? I try to tell her about NT

(she's eating more lowfat than ever - no junk food though- and even more so now

because she's getting heavy since she had to stop playing badminton and tennis 2

years ago and she thinks fat will worsen this). Sometimes it's easier to get a

message across (re: NT eating) when it doesn't come from a son or daughter.

Much research is being done in the area of magnesium deficiency. Seems calcium

= calcification = osteoarthritis, Alzheimer's, heart disease, etc.

This is a very brief explanation: When there is a magnesium deficiency, calcium

calcifies the arteries, and leaches calcium out of the muscles and bones

(remember the heart is a muscle).

I have seen amazing, and very quick results when supplementing with magnesium.

Everything from heart palpitations, to muscle cramps, to fatigue turns around in

just a few minutes to a few hours!

The only side effect is loose bowels if too much is taken orally. I take mine

transdermally, so I by-pass the digestive system.

There is so much wonderful information on magnesium, it is a shame that so few

people know about it. Magnesium protects your arteries, muscles, bones, brain,

and digestive system. It is the most abundant mineral in the body, but

unfortunately misunderstood and most people are deficient.

Go to any search engine and read up on magnesium. Especially look at medical

web sites. Magnesium has added quality to my life and those I have shared this

information with. It is so disheartening that doctors know all about the life

saving benefits as well as the pain reducing benefits, yet they pay NO

attention, and certainly are not going to tell you about it.

*If you want more information on transdermal magnesium, please contact me off

the group.

----->i think cili bao, or perhaps an injectible superoxide dismutase

product is very helpful for osteoarthritis. cili bao is a chinese rose hip

that happens to have the highest known concentration of SOD, and most of

it's resistant to stomach acid degradation unlike other oral sources of SOD.

SOD is an antioxidant enzyme that protects bone (and other) tissue from the

superoxide radical, which i believe is a major contributor to bone damage in

arthritis and other bone diseases.
