I never seem to be able to get *pure* clear whey from my kefir. 1> I make my kefir so it is somewhat thick. 2> Then I put a square cotton bag in a 1 gallon wide mouth jar, and hold it in place with thick rubber bands. Make sure the bag does not hang more than 1/2 of the way down, because the whey will drip to the bottom of the jar. 3> Pour in my thick kefir. 4> screw the plastic lid right over the cotton (or you can use whatever will keep air and bugs out). 5> Let it sit for a minimum of 6 hours. 6> You will have DELICIOUS " cream cheese " (add spices to taste) in the bag, and clear whey at the bottom. >>>does the liquid *cover* the veggies? I also don't have a > weight on it. where do you get your quartz crystals? 1> Liquid MUST cover the veggies right from the start. 2> From various stores and one of my favorite place on earth, Malibu. I love crystals, I even use a very big Herkimer Diamond (about 4 " long) at times. Sometimes I just use plain old quartz crystal that I picked up in Malibu. *I got my Herkimer Diamond on eBay. Think I only paid about $20.00 for it. Herkimers are crystals that are naturally shaped like a diamond that has been cut. They usually have a lot of fire (rainbow colors flashing) in them also. 3> I have done a some work with homeopathics and the newer forms of energy. There are studies that show that the more " love " that goes into the food the more nutritious the foods become. This is somewhat like the experiment that was originally done in Russia with sub-atomic energy particles. One group of scientists had " proof " that these particles ALWAYS spun to the right. The other groups of scientists had PROOF that they always spun to the left. What they finally figured out is that ALL PARTICLES SPIN IN THE DIRECTION THE SCIENTISTS EXPECTED THEM TO. Our foods are made of molecules, which are made of atoms, which are made of sub-atomic atoms. While I don't claim to be powerful enough to directly effect all forms of matter, I know that when I make my foods with things that are special to me (such as these crystals) the foods feel more special to me, and perhaps are more nutritious. I also make water charged in the sun with the crystals and homeopathic flower remedies. Flower Remedies are very expensive, yet very easy to make. In a glass bowl place purified water (I now use Prill water), flowers, and my crystals. Cover bowl and place in the sun for a minimum of 6 hours. You can also make homeopathic herbals this way. I love these because no matter what remedy I choose to work with, the worst thing that can happen is nothing....and the best is that they help! Hope this helps!
