Guest guest
RE: Walk in Arizona on March 5th to restore transplant funding for the 96 Dear FAIR Foundation members, Please join us in a peaceful walk on March 5th to encourage Arizona Governor Brewer and the Arizona Legislature to honor their commitment to the 98 (now 96) Arizona citizens to whom they promised, then denied, Medicaid coverage for life-saving organ transplants. These good people will die unless the decision is changed. " Keep Your Promise, Save Their Lives " is our rallying cry and our message. One Phoenix physician has predicted that as many as 30 of the 98 may die in 2011, two are already gone. At present Arizona is the only state denying transplants, but unless we stop it here, it will happen in other states, too, and someone you know or love could be sent home to die. We will meet at 9 AM on Saturday March 5 at St Catholic Church, 2038 W Van Buren St, Phoenix, Arizona for a briefing on the issues, the day's program and the walk. At 10 AM we will begin our slow, three block walk to the State Capitol. Following the walk there will be a program at the church where you will get information from several speakers. I hope to see you there and remember, if this is allowed to continue in AZ it is only a matter of time before it comes to our states too. The time to act is now! Flyer for printing and distributing: http://hepcop.org/DLIC/DLCflyer2.pdf For more information or to volunteer contact Acklin: 623-594-4433 On Facebook search for " Dream of Life Coalition " and Post this note on your FB wall. In addition, forward it to all your friends, patients, et al who are involved in transplant. See you in Phoenix!
