Ruiz Approximately 9.2 million people in Peru received hepatitis B vaccines in the past two months as a part of a campaign against this disease, announced President Alan on Wednesday. The Head of State affirmed that the massive vaccination program was extremely important and had been a success. " This is just as important as the economy's nine-percent growth, " said the president. During a ceremony at the government palace in Lima and in the presence of Hernán Garrido-Lecca, the country's health minister, affirmed that the program had been designed to invest in the country's future. President , who recently lost his brother to a liver disease, stated that vaccinating millions of Peru's people made sure the country was " well protected " against cirrhosis and liver cancer. " It's an excellent human investment, more than social because it directly goes to the person's body - that is what I'm worried about. I hope we can continue with many more campaigns, it would be the best riches we could leave, " affirmed President . " With this and a better educational system, the country will prosper.
