Guest guest
I made them do an MRI and in short, I have a bulging disk with tears. It's between L4 and L5, and the bulge is next to nerve roots in my spine but they aren't pressing on the nerves themselves. My family doctor said that surgery would probably cripple me because of the precarious location. I'm not too hot on the idea of surgery or injections. My physical therapist said because it's a slight bulge, the chance of it acutally rupturing is slight. But because it's already torn, I don't know if I quite believe that. Neither my doctor or therapist could answer the question: I wasn't in a lot of pain when the MRI was done, so it didn't show any interference with the nerves, but say the day I woke up in excrutiating, could it be a lot worse than what is shown? Now, I'm in my early 20's I'm afraid I'm going to have trouble with this for the rest of my life. And the police officer faulted me in the accident because I was in a rivalry department and he went off the trucker's statement because I was in shock and busy with the ambulance crew. When I questioned him a few days later about the obviously incorrect report, he said he'd see my in court. I mean this guy had the point of impact on the passanger door-HA you look at the passanger door, there's not even one scratch on it!! So instead of paying for court fees and the stress, I paid the $180 ticket. I hardly caused any damage to the semi, so they didn't persue it.
