Do you have any suggestions about how I should go about finding a 'sympathetic' professional -- my doctor dismisses the possibility of a thyroid condition or something like it -- my thyroid panel comes back normal -- and since she practices " science based medicine " she refuses to look further at thyroid issue. Is having my cortisol checked though, and gave me a prescription for phentermine. I live in the Los Angeles/Thousand Oaks area. I looked into Diane Swarzbein in Santa Barbara, but she wants $500 for the initial visit and that's out of my budget. Namaste, Liz

How about doing a web search for " naturopath " and/or looking in the yellow pages for a naturopath? Here's a naturopathic directory for starters: http://www.pandamedicine.com/yellowpages.html. When I searched on Los Angeles, the following came up: Dor Taddayoni, ND, 12114 Venice Blvd., Los Angeles, CA, 90066, 310-391-4313, dor9@... Here in Virginia I go to a naturopathic physician who has an amazing monitor that tests for reactions to hundreds of foods, molds, chemicals, viruses, etc., so as to recommend the best course of treatment, such as vitamins, herbal supplements, homeopathic preparations, etc. as well as more exotic treatments such as light therapy, essential oils, etc. Jill Nienhiser Webweaver www.westonaprice.org www.realmilk.com
Guest guest
You can possibly look for a doc who is a WAP member locally thru your local chapter. If you fail to find someone locally there are any number of very caring and qualified professionals who work with clients all over the country. Byrnes and myself are two that frequent this particular group. If I remember correctly you are in San Diego, I do not have a referral source there as of yet. However you might contact www.ifnh.org because they are in San Diego I believe and they may also be able to locate someone for you. sincerely, DMM --- In @y..., " Jill Nienhiser " <jnienhiser@m...> wrote: > > >Do you have any suggestions about how I should go about finding a > 'sympathetic' professional -- my doctor dismisses the possibility of a > thyroid condition or something like it -- my thyroid panel comes back normal > -- and since she practices " science based medicine " she refuses to look > further at thyroid issue. Guest guest
My mom also had a thyroid problem, but her panels were always within the normal range. She went to a holistic doctor who used the CRA (Contact Reflex Analysis) method of evaluation and got on a Standard Process supplement. She feels much better now. This doctor happened to be a chiropractor, so that might be an avenue of a " health professional " could have the skills to give you an accurate evaluation. -Dawn ----- Original Message ----- From: Ecmillerreid@...
