Dear Andy,

Is it ok to use ALA without DMSA? My child is allergic to sulfa drugs and I

therefore I am concerned that he may have a reaction to DMSA. Thank you very

much, Theresa

My son has many pairs of fleece pants, in conservative colors, or cotton

athletic shorts with elastic band, preferably gray. We have an appt. for

him to be tested by a Sensory integration therapist later this month. I

have noticed that there is something going on with his body when he is

frustrated that is different from just OCD. Maybe they can explain this

" brushing " to me then.

Teela, your daughter sounds like someone in a delightful movie. My heart

goes out to you. Thanks for sharing with all of us.

Hi Cher,

Ok, here is my OPINION (so take it as such!)

I don't think a normal, healthy liver needs any help

'detoxifying'. I agree, a well balanced healthy diet it the most

important thing. And even a liver that is sick will continue to

function pretty well until damage is pretty advanced. But I think

milk thistle (silymarin) is more than just a 'detoxifier'. It may

help the liver along some, but it is also believed that silymarin may

help protect liver cells from damage and also have an antifibrotic

effect. I do think more research needs to be done, especially in

those with HCV. There has been a lot of conflicting information on

it's effectiveness. My opinion is that it has helped me, and I will

continue to take it.

I take Maximum Milk Thistle (Siliphos Bio-Enhanced), 3 per day. Each

capsule is 240mg. I would only buy a good brand. This is a good

brand, but there are others which have been tested and are good too.

A book of mine talks about these scuptures as paleolithic/stone age remains.

What age are according to your expert?

Goddess statues are found at both paleolithic and neolithic sites.

Marija Gimbutas's area of expertise was the neolithic period, so what

she dug up was from about 6,000 BC to about 3,000 BC. I recommend her

books if you want more info: The Civilization of the Goddess, The

Language of the Goddess, and The Goddesses and God of Old Europe.

Also Mellaart's work (he dug up Catal Huyuk in Anatolia).

Well if the location is the Doubletree in southcenter that is a great

location. I just finished a 2 day conference there on tues & wed and it is

VERY nice and the food is quite good but please no mexican at this bash. It

was not that great and I am getting tired of it at all the parties. I think

we can be a little more creative with the food don't you? If I can help

just let me know Joanne.

Sorry about that! It's the Scoliosis Research Society at www.srs.org and

then at the bottom of the left side bar you'll see a link to the 39th Annual

Meeting Web Cast. You don't actually see the speakers, but you see their

powerpoint presentations and hear their voice-overs.
