Guest guest
In a recent communication with Betty at GEM, I found this out about the Fil Mjolk: She writes: " We have not isolated the organisms from our cultures. From the literature fil mjolk has: a mixture of acid forming bacteria (Streptococcus lactis, S. cremoris, S. pima, S. diacetylactis) a surface mold (Geotrichium candidum) and one or more yeasts. The viili has these but also a slime forming bacterium (Leuconostoc cremoris). If you've heard of pima culture, it too has many of these same organisms. " I also asked about shipping Fil Mjolk culture overseas and she replied: " Probably spoil, too risky " Sorry Heleen. And so the Fil Mjolk saga continues. I find it hard to believe that no one in Europe has this culture and is making it at home, especially since it origated in Sweden, don't we have any Swedish members of this group? --
Guest guest
I sent some villi (similar to fil mjolk) to somone in Australia once. All I did was put a tablespoon of the villi in some dried milk to make a nice thick paste. It took two weeks to get there and after a few generations he claimed it was making wonderful villi. Just a thought if someone would be willing to experiement and try to send it to you this way! Grace, a Augustine I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive. I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish you enough ''Hello's " to get you through the final goodbye. --anonymous ----- Original Message ----- From: Pellicer Sent: Tuesday, September 10, 2002 4:14 PM Subject: More on Fil Mjolk In a recent communication with Betty at GEM, I found this out about the Fil Mjolk: She writes: " We have not isolated the organisms from our cultures. Guest guest
I have never heard of fjil molk until joining this group (hi, i'm new!). I live in Switzerland at the moment although we are moving to Portland in December. I can tell you, after diligent searching and after calling the chamber of commerce in Norway, i finally had to order my cod liver oil capsules from the US. It's crazy! I wasn't even able to order from Norway. They only have halibut liver oil here. The A and D ratios are different and i was unsure of its purity. Guest guest
Didn't Norway pass a law about 5 years back that you have to have a doctors prescription to get vitamins? If so, is that still in effect?
