Estrogen and Breast Lumps Researchers reported this week that estrogen-only users doubled their chances of getting non-cancerous breast lumps.

That's a concern not only because of the extra biopsies and worry those lumps cause, but because a particular type - called benign proliferative breast disease - is suspected of being a first step toward developing cancer 10 years or so later. About one in five women undergo a breast biopsy within a decade of starting annual mammograms. Full information here.

COMMENT:

Excess estrogen stimulation can also cause breast pain. Tissues break down in areas where they are iodine deficient.

Osteomed's Breast Health Program can give you peace of mind and eliminate your breast pain by identifying -- and treating -- your iodine and nutrient deficiency. An abnormal thermogram is addressed with lifestyle/dietary changes and nutrients. Progress is monitored by less pain and improved scans. Call today for a breast thermogram. You'll be glad that you did. Call 440-239-3438 for your appointment today!

Do You Have Hashimoto's thyroiditis?

Hashimoto's typically involves a slow but steady destruction of the gland that eventually results in the thyroid's inability to produce sufficient thyroid hormone -- the condition known as hypothyroidism. Along the way, however, there can be periods where the thyroid sputters back to life, even causing temporary hyperthyroidism, then a return to hypothyroidism. This cycling back and forth between hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism is characteristic of Hashimoto's disease.

So, for example, periods of anxiety, insomnia, diarrhea, weight loss may be followed by periods of depression, fatigue, constipation and weight gain. READ MORE

COMMENT: Hashimoto's thyroiditis is the most common cause of hypothyroidism but it is often overlooked by conventional doctors. At OsteoMed II, we look for the underlying cause of your hypothyroid condition: thyroid antibodies, missing iodine and/or selenium, low cellular levels of thyroid hormone (through thyroflex testing), and other hormone associations (estrogen-progesterone imbalances and adrenal issues). Start your relief TODAY. 440-239-3438.

Do you asthma, allergies? Does your child have ADD-ADHD?

Address the problem, don't just treat the symptom. Schedule your appointment today for allergy elimination.

Vaccines: PHarma is after your teens

The California Department of Public Health has released a new online presentation "Marketing Vaccines to Tweens".

The 25-minute webcast discusses social marketing and disease prevention. It offers insights and suggestions on health-related social marketing directed at Tweens, (young people age 9-12 years) and how to empower them to get the immunizations they need. Find out what motivates and inspires Tweens to action and learn how to break down communication barriers and develop effective Tween immunization campaigns. LISTEN TO FULL PODCAST (free).

COMMENT: Did you catch that? "Empower them to get shots"? A unique, catchy twist to get teens to roll up their sleeves. Parents, if you think vaccine decisions are behind you if you no longer have toddlers in your home, think again. You need information -- and advocacy to protect your rights -- now, more than ever.

The American Association for Health Freedom is about to launch the affilitate program, The Coaltion Against Mandatory Vaccination. If you haven't yet joined, please make your voice be heard through www.DrTenpenny.com

When it fails, give it again. NOT!

Mumps has enjoyed a resurgence in the U.S. -- more than 6500 cases were reported in 2006, making it the largest outbreak in more than two decades.

When scientists at the CDC investigated these cases, they found that most of them had been vaccinated. College students appeared especially vulnerable during the outbreaks, despite the fact that they had received two doses of the vaccine as children. Immunity from the vaccine appears to wear off over time. Read full story.

COMMENT: When a vaccine doesn't work, the best thing to do is give it again? Seems a better answer is in order, not more vaccine. Call for an appointment to find out more. 440-239-3438.
