If this is directed towards me, who posted about my friend the baker, I will ask

him if he is willing to be contacted. He is no longer making bread except for

gifts for friends and has gone into other work. But he may be willing/albe to

pass on useful information to you

A group of us is setting up a community that he may be interested in

participating.

If we come to agreements, he could run an artisan bakery, all expenses

covered, including custom home, medical, education for family, entertainment

and recreation, utilities, natural organic groceries, etc.

He would have the resources and staff provided to do a first class

enterprise without financing, marketing or sales worries... just make good

wholesome products.

I just spoke with " Dan Dan the baker man " as my wife and I call him. He is

willing to have me post his email and speak to you about old bread. Catch is, he

is in process of changing to DSL and wants to wait until that gets squared away

and he gets his new email addy. I expect that to happen next week. When I get

it, I will post it

hello

we just have afew slots still open, we already have two bakers and another

would have been nice but not necessary.

The community is over seas on a tropical island, outside the hurricane belt.

We are not selling memebreship, you can't " buy in " , its all inclusive

meaning that utilities, education, medical etc is all figured in. Folks do

different skills for the community. Some for export use, some for community

use.

Its only for families, families being children under 16 years of age.

No sense getting too much into it since spots are almost gone. It was a lark

to mention it to the Baker, but it doesnt seem to have panned out since I

haven't heard from him anyway.

There are lots of intentional communities out there...all over the USA that

would probably be attractive.

Good luck in the search!

Thanks for the reply, though i wasn't necessarily interested in coming

onboard, but more in the way you organised it & how long you've been

planning it, and if there were any info sources you would recommend for a

similar venture elsewhere? Do you have a website? thanks, Chris

Recommendations for a similar venture elsewhere? Have at least 10,000 acres,

$1.5 billion, and at least 3000 families made up of good techies, artisans,

and business minds :-)

I looked at your site on the internet and was blown away. It's great to know

people are making that sort of thing happen. We are most likely moving into

an intentional community in Oregon when we return to the States. I'm very

curious to see how it goes.
