Guest guest
The little farm where I get raw milk produces a general pamphlet on raw milk, and in it it says that grain feeding should be avoided at all costs, but if it must be done, the grain should be sprouted. Has anyone heard of feeding them sprouted grain or how this affects CLA levels compared to unsprouted grain? Chris ____ " What can one say of a soul, of a heart, filled with compassion? It is a heart which burns with love for every creature: for human beings, birds, and animals, for serpents and for demons. The thought of them and the sight of them make the tears of the saint flow. And this immense and intense compassion, which flows from the heart of the saints, makes them unable to bear the sight of the smallest, most insignificant wound in any creature. Thus they pray ceaselessly, with tears, even for animals, for enemies of the truth, and for those who do them wrong. Guest guest
I always thought animals eating sprouted grains of wheat and oats, etc would be similar (not exactly) like eating the new grass in the spring. I do not know about the CLA levels, but... Have you ever read The Contrary Farmer by Gene Logsdon? He talks about feeding chickens sprouted grains and how they grow wonderfully and how the meat tastes so good. Grace, a Augustine I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive. I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish you enough ''Hello's " to get you through the final goodbye. --anonymous ----- Original Message ----- From: ChrisMasterjohn@... Guest guest
When i used to have chickens, i would throw them the leftovers of my wheatgrass trays after i juiced it, and they would peck out the wheat sprouts and devour them, and i always noticed the eggs were particularly good after that, chris >From: " a Augustine " <pjaugustine@...> >Reply- >< > >Subject: Re: feeding sprouted grain to cattle >Date: Mon, 16 Sep 2002 20:43:42 -0500 > >I always thought animals eating sprouted grains of wheat and oats, etc >would be similar (not exactly) like eating the new grass in the spring.
