Guest guest
I've finally read a lot of the Mercola site. he certainly has some interesting stuff, some info that fits quit nicely into NT thoughts and some that is just plain odd. " Don't drink ice water " ? I understand that microwave ovens are, shall we say, controversial. Am I missing something about him, why does his name keep popping up here? Second question Exercise carb/fat/protein/ ratio. I have seen references to the study that says the basic SAD diet give you something like 45 minutes of fuel, whilst a high carb diet give you only 30, but you can continue to eat and digest carbs as you exercise, and so keep on going indefinitely. I have never seen anything about high fat eater going 33% beyond. I would really like to know where than study is. I've also heard from other cyclists who are on high fat diets that bonking is not an issue with them, as it was when they were trying the high carb plan. I would assume that improved performance is because the body is trained to depend on fat for fuel, rather than carbs. Any link about this topic would be appreciated, I've not been able to ask the right question with my search engine Thank You Mike
