Anybody healed an abcess tooth?

The dentist just diagnosed an abcess tooth. He did tell me that he has

had people tell him that they wanted to try some natural remedies, and

that something has worked, because they didn't have to have a root canal

or have the tooth extracted (but the people haven't told him what they

did. He said if I try something and it works to let him know what I did,

so he can tell other people). He also said that most of the people who

want to try something first have had to go on and treat the abcess

through root canal or extraction. Figured I would see if any of you have

any advice on this topic! I have looked up related things in

Prescription for Nutritional Healing by the Balches and in Healthy

Healing by Rector Page. I am trying to get quite strict about my

diet as well as take some supplements.
