holiday pecans and macaroons

has anyone tried these?

i am having a show of my work on the 19th and will be providing the

refreshment. i thought that pepitas and the pecans and macaroons

would be a safe (and inexpensive) bet.

i tried making a batch of the holiday pecans last night, and i have a

couple of doubts about the recipe:

i wonder if i shouldn't butter some parchment paper rather than

simply the cookie sheet;

i don't see why 2 cookie sheets were called for when one would do;

i think that the recipe would turn out better with 1/2 the amount of

egg white and maple syrup called for. (the recipe referred to

a " coating " ; it was more like a soupy batter.)

i'm also wondering whether i should adjust the macaroon recipe too?

never mind. i am beginning to suspect that my father only got me 2C

of pecans rather than the 4 called for in the recipe.
