Guest guest
A discussion was had before on the lack of success making yoghurt with probiotic supplements. This brief description of the bacteria Stonyfield Farms uses ( Six Live Active Cultures ) seems to imply that L Bulgaricus and S Thermophilus are the basic bacteria that are necessary to produce a yoghurt-like product, while the other lactobacilli are added to supplement them, mostly for healthful reasons. The absence of those two organisms in a bifidus or acidophilus-bifidus supplement might account for the lack of luck with the yoghurt. Chris ____ " What can one say of a soul, of a heart, filled with compassion? It is a heart which burns with love for every creature: for human beings, birds, and animals, for serpents and for demons. The thought of them and the sight of them make the tears of the saint flow. And this immense and intense compassion, which flows from the heart of the saints, makes them unable to bear the sight of the smallest, most insignificant wound in any creature. Thus they pray ceaselessly, with tears, even for animals, for enemies of the truth, and for those who do them wrong. Guest guest
Thanks Chris. Now I know why the Solaray Multidophilus powder I tried to make yogurt with would not work. It contains L Bulgaricus, but no S Thermophilus. Thanks again for remembering this problem and finding the answer.
