Thanks for the help.. I checked the temp and after putting in a new pan of

boiling water the temp got to hot. This is trial and error for me ( learning

curve) so next time i will try a towel wrapped around the jar. Anyway- i

have a quart of yogurt. With the temp spike i am not sure if it is raw or

not < shrug> but although a bit sour it is definitely yogurt and so will be

used.
