Chi,

I've been thinking about your reply. Soil fertility comes from adequate

minerals - the full range of macro and micro nutrients, but without the

microorganisms in the soil the minerals are not very available, so organic

matter is also essential, and the worms contribute to turning organic matter

deposited on the soil into humus in the soil.

But this is off-topic, so enough said, I guess.

I have heard both opinions, and don't know the answer. Guess i'll have to

get Albrecht's book, Chris
