Guest guest
Hello, I haven't written for sometime but I do read the posts everyday. I had a meningioma removed in August last year and everything went well, I recovered my vision and have no after effects at all. When I did a new MRI three months after surgery, they noticed another meningioma, this time on the left side of my brain, in the same direction. Because it was very small, I decided together with my doctor that we could wait until the next MRI in three months. I had it done in February and for my luck, it hasn't moved, it is exactly the same as six months ago and I am not feeling anything that could be cause of worry. In the meantime, I still have hep C that I haven't treated yet! My question is: having had a meningioma located on top of the hypophisis gland and having another one still there, can I think about treating the hep C with interferon and ribavirn? Is there a danger that the treatment can affect the thyroid gland? is there any study on this kind of case? My hep doctor says that I should first look after my head and then think about my liver! It's too much for me! Thank you for your help! Guest guest
Meningioma is usually benign and is removed if it starts to produce pressure changes on the brain. However it is not effecting your liver in anyway and treatment can be begun, depending upon the stage of your liver disease.
