humor has always been used to relieve stress. the more stress, the

more intense the humor i have found. i have worked in the highest stress

field for over 35 yrs (construction) and then i go to community meetings with

all these teachers and social workers. it has been an interesting learning

on this point to compare the nature of the humor in both these different

arenas. my humor is never understood at my community meetings. it

is too bodacious for these very contained people who work in relatively

quiet professions. my choice of words may not adequately reflect my

perceptions, but i hope the point gets across.
