Fall seven times, stand up eight.- Japanese proverb prayer request Ok, as if life wasn't interesting enough, a switch in insurance is making usrush the scheduling of my surgery. I will my having a lateral incisionpartial hysterectomy THIS FRIDAY!!! I am feeling totally out of control, slightly freaked out, and really disorganized. Please pray for my sanity,my family, and my health. I am quite nervous about the healing process as adiabetic. I have always healed quite quickly, but since the dragon enteredthis fairy tale things have changed. They just called to let me know about30 minutes ago. I am now going to clean frantically, because I am not surewho will be staying at my house with my kids. (bear in mind that I am not aslob, just not up to in-law-visiting standards at the moment!) I will my having a lateral incision > partial hysterectomy THIS FRIDAY!!! OMG! I am feeling totally out of control, > slightly freaked out, and really disorganized. Please pray for my sanity, You've already been on the list, but this moves you closer to the top of it. >They just called to let me know about 30 minutes ago. And since you've been waiting for this for a while now you really don't want to postpone it, either. At least having it *now* you'll be almost back to normal by Christmas, but it looks like someone else is going to have to finish up the shopping and do the decorating this year. >(bear in mind that I am not a > slob, just not up to in-law-visiting standards at the moment!) My apartment would *never* pass the step-mom test. That is a lady who bleaches her ceiling twice a year to keep it white and prefers a white rug (nobody is allowed to walk on it in shoes) so it shows the dirt to make it easier to wash. My poor > husband who is VERY much a nurturing worry-wart can't get any time off. That's kind of what happened to Ed when Henry was born. He obviously took that day off, but had to be in next and Friday, because being Thanksgiving week, half ther staff was off on vacation. He brought me and Henry home on turkey day and was back at the job Friday. > will have to work the day of the surgery until 8 and the day after until 5. Any idea when they'll make you go home? I know some people around here who were sent home the next day after a total abdominal hyst, and the laporoscopic hysts are done as out patients. Probably your diagnosis of diabetes will get you an extra day or 2 our of your insurance if it's needed. When my stepmom had a colon resection a few years back, her insurance told her she was only allowed 3 days, but her doc insisted on keeping her 5 days, not only because of her diabetes but to make sure her bowels were working again, because of the nature of her operation. It's hard to have a BM when you're only given liquids to eat. Good luck, and we'll keep your entire family in our prayers. Now go, get ready! And remember to tell the nurses and doctors about your knee when you're admitted so it's not injured even *more* on the operating table. Guest guest
Dear Virginia, When did this list become a no prayer request list? I did not know that , Can anyone tell me if this is true? :-) connie Prayer Request Hello everyone. Below is a copy of the letter sent from Operacat for prayer request for her beloved . I feel it is an exception to the no prayer request on this list so I have copy and pasted it. If you find this offensive please delete it, it is your choice. Virginia Dearest Ones, Since Friday evening, I have been sick in bed with 102 deg. fever, and feeling very ill. Today my temperature has finally gone down, but I'm almost too weak to get from one room to the next. I just received a call from the hospital that has taken a turn for the worse and they're putting him in ICU to watch him. The doctor's words have terrified me, and even though I'm so weak, I feel I must go to the V.A. hospital, if just to hold his hand. They said they would give me a mask to wear so I don't cause him any problems. Please, please pray that God's healing is filling his entire body and all of his organs. I know we can't go to the LL list for prayers, but if someone could ask someone there who isn't on this list to pray for my Beloved , I would truly appreciate it. Guest guest
Hello Connie, There is no rule that says we can't ask for prayers here but several of our members asked if we would try to stay on topic more and keep the prayer requests to a minimum on this list since many of them joined to gain support for their health and fitness. To try to honor everyone's needs and desires I created the linktoGod@... list so that anyone wanting prayers could have a place to go to feel comfortable in asking for prayers. It is of course impossible to keep everyone happy, but I am doing the best I can. I also created a special list for those who wanted to stay totally ontopic with nothing but discussion about Life Lift with nothing else included. That list is not very active. I feel there are exceptions to most things and the request for Operacat is one of them. She is in deep need and can use the generosity of all of us right now. I always feel if a message bothers someone they can just hit the delete key but I also do feel it is best if whenever possible we post our prayer requests to the list provided for that. I wish I had a solution to please everyone. I hope this helps. Take care, Rashelle The Body You Have Always Wanted is Coming Soon! What can changing the way you breathe do for you? Guest guest
Prayers to you and Annika. Prayer Request > > Hi everyone. Once again this weekend has been a roller coaster weekend. > > We were able to get Annika outside and let her enjoy the snowfall for the first time at home this year. She had a blast throwing snow at everyone!!!! > > Well, since this was my weekend to work we came home around 11:15 p.m. and checked on Annika before going to bed. She was fine then. About 1/2 hour later, started to hear noises coming out of her room. Sure enough Annika was found in another seizure, less than a month since her last one. So we tried to use our rectal valium and found out that someone had gotten into both syringes and there was none left. We loaded up and drove to the ER which is under 5 minutes away. It took two doses of IM valium to get her to come out of it and so she had been seizing for more than 1 1/2 hours before it stopped. It was the small focal seizures and she would start to sort of come out of it and then back in for the whole time. Well, when she came out of it she fell instantly asleep and her breathing started to depress. They called the doc on call for our clinic to admit her for Observation. Well, by the time he made it to the hospital and accessed her the breathing was much better and we took her home instead. Though we did find out that she still has an ear infection, which is the cause of the seizure. This is more my concern than the seizure since she has been battling ear infection since New Year's Eve(the day of her last seizure). Tomorrow we will be calling the ENT and trying to get her in before her scheduled appointment next Friday. Please keep her in your prayers as we have gone through new PE tubes and two doses of antibiotics already to control this infection. My major concern is that the infection will spread to her implants. > > She has been really wiped out today, not too surprising. But other than that fine. Though she still is running a temp off and on which can potentially send her into another seizure. > > Thanks everyone! > Mom of 4 > Marcus 13 > 12 > Jon 10 > Annika 2 > Bilaterally implanted 3/1/04 > Hookup 3/25/04 > spastic diaplegic CP > ---------- > > No virus found in this outgoing message. > Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. > Version: 7.0.300 / Virus Database: 265.7.2 - Release Date: 1/21/2005 > > >

Guest guest
, I'm so sorry to hear Annika is still having problems and you know you all have our prayers. It's great that she was able to enjoy the snowfall though..I know what that's like, my almost 3 year old grandson has just been able to go out and enjoy his first snow this winter after having both feet in casts since the beginning of winter due to severe club foot..but, he's graduating from the casts without another surgery for which we are all greatful. One more set of casts then into special shoes and braces. I know just exactly what fun you all had out there romping around in the snow and know just how much the little things mean to these kids and their families. <smile> Please keep us updated and give little Annika big hugs. We'll be thinking about her. Hugs, Silly MI In , " Wanha " <rlw70@h...> wrote: > Hi everyone. Guest guest
Rashelle, I've had one of those days today, too. But the blessing is my sister had her baby today and he's healthy and they're both doing well. After having had my little preemie, I know what a heart-wrenching thing it is to see the little bitty ones fighting for their lives. I've prayed today for you, your sweet great-grandbaby, your granddaughter, and your mother. Love, Melinda Prayer request Hello Everyone, I could use some prayers today. It does not happen very often for me, but every once in awhile I have a day that feels like things are out of whack. I am still a little worried about the new baby and my Mom, so any of you who have a moment, a small prayer would be very much appreciated.
