Guest guest
Hello all. I just finished reading the post from today. Very active! I think there were 42. Again, I am so glad to have found this site. It's wonderful to read how everyone shares their lives with others and how everyone else is happy for them or sad with them - so much compassion and empathy. a - I haven't looked at the database yet but it sounds like a great idea. Sylvia - You must be soooo exhausted!! So great to be able to share in such a special occasion. - hope your family is feeling better soon. Two months is such a long time to have to wait! I live in a small town so don't have much of that problem. That must be frustrating when you know could be feeling better more quickly. Take care of yourself and each other. Kim - I am bummed to hear that the Enbrel has stopped working for you after just two years. I have been on it for about 8 months and am doing well with it. I hope the Remicade takes effect for you quickly. Keep us posted - I'll be very interested as this might be me in another year. Good Luck! a - good idea re: gas prices. I'll send this to everyone in my address book. - This is the first post I've read from you. I'm happy to read there were no malignancies. Hope you continue to make progress and feel better. Stacey - I'm excited for you to start the Enbrel. The shots are very easy - however, I'm such a wimp I have my husband give them to me. My mom always wonders how I can so easily give shots to others - I'm an OB nurse - but not to myself! I have only once had a reaction at the site and it was just red and a little swollen for a couple of days. Good luck!! I hope it works for you. Jackie - I have been diagnosed for 2 years. My Dr. had to fill our alot of paperwork and do it two or three times before my insurance would cover it. My Dr. said that more Rheumys are prescribing Enbrel for women of childbearing age even if they haven't tried alot of other drugs because they've had some women get pregnant in the trials and have not had any birth defects (although they have no idea about the long term problems) - although I had been on a few different meds too. Lois - read your post to Stacey - I too am on Enbrel. My current insurance is Humana/New York Life and I am in the process of changing to United Health Care which also covers Enbrel. However, United HC does NOT cover Remicade. Also, just want to take the time to wish all of you a Happy Thanksgiving - I know I have much to be thankful for!
