I battled the bitter cold and went to this function. Right off the bat, before I

even entered the auditorium, the lobby was set up like a MLM drive, product set

up with price stated on 3X5 cards, samples of some kind of protein shake, very

hyper people dressed in black pants, red shirt, and name tag, which really

turned me off, but I really wanted to hear Gwen Olsen. So I sat, for another 45

minutes, till 6:15 or so before the MC started it off with a reading from the

bible, and the sound system was ear splitting loud, I think my ears are still

ringing, way too loud. Then they started handing out door prizes, a few of them

were bibles, ok now I'm ready to just leave, but I really wanted to see Gwen

Olsen. Blah blah blah, some more churchy preaching, then they announce Gwen

Olsen, it's a video clip that I think I probably saw on the internet, now I'm

getting pissed, getting up to leave, low and behold, there she is, approaching

the stage, YAY, the journey in the bitter cold was worth it. Sort of, after Gwen

finished, the MC blasted on some more about churchy stuff WAY TOO LOUD,

painfully loud, and I really really wanted to leave now, but my companion wanted

to stay, so I suffered through the loss of my hearing to appease her, turns out

this was a campaign to rustle up patients for very religious chiropractors, wow,

didn't see that coming, well, I should have, with it being conducted in a chapel

and all. So bleeding ears aside, I did get to talk to a chiropractor near where

I live and went yesterday, and I'm going to go again tomorrow, I would have been

a whole lot more receptive to the idea of a Chiropractor if it where presented

to me more appropriately. First off, a far lower decibel, second of all, what's

with the bible thumping? The evangelizing didn't sit well with me, in fact made

me extremely uncomfortable, I'm still raw from all the charlatans I've already

been had by. Just my opinion but I kind of think this movement might get more

patients with a less godly approach, and more of a natural, healthy, organic, or

even anti medication type of approach.
