Isn't that why they prescribed the drug in the first place? To allegedly deal with the alleged "underlying illness"?So, it seems like they're at fault either way. Either the drug did it, and she shouldn't have been taking the drug. Or, the "underlying illness" did it, and therefore the drug didn't work at all, so why did they continue to allow her to take a drug that didn't work?
