update on MOTHERS Act - Reid's irresponsible plan to move forward based on the non-controversial legislation

Despite the fact that cloture was not invoked, Reid may try to bring some of these bills forward individually or who knows - maybe even via the omnibus package itself. He is trying to reach a compromise on the gas prices discussion so that they can move on to his priorities. The MOTHERS Act, as all of its proponents WELL KNOW, is HIGHLY CONTROVERSIAL at best. IT has NEVER even been marked up in the HELP Committee, not discussed, or debated, much less passed through the committee with overwhelming support, and the Senator would be well aware of that. This actually makes me wonder how many of the other bills he could be lying about, surely he can't just be fooled by this one group of cosponsors
