In memory of Gloria

I have just learned that my dear friend and fellow advocate

Gloria has passed away a few days ago.

From my friend Amy Houghton in Oklahoma

I have learned that Gloria's son Noah is doing well and

and Gloria's husband Bill has made a request to know and

understand Gloria's work with Ablechild and all the groups

she was a contributor to. He didn't pay attention

at the time but now he wants to know what Gloria was doing.

Please post comments, memories, etc about Gloria for

Bill. I will collect them and send them to Amy to prepare

and forward to Bill.

I just want to say that Gloria fought the CPS system for

her grandchildren and then adopted them. The boys were

horribly overdrugged. Gloria told me that her son Noah

got into karate and was literally sweating out a chemical

slime for months and when he started sweating normally

he started feeling and doing better. Gloria and Bill saved

their grandson's lives.

Gloria was a devout Christian and gloried in God, prayed

for people constantly and cared deeply for all the children

of the world. I have always been deeply moved by Gloria's

capacity for love in adversity.

Gloria was a member of Ablechild, a grassroots group of

mothers devoted to protecting children from psychiatric

oppression and parent's rights.

The world is a better place for Gloria being here and I will

miss her.
