Guest guest
My husband and I have gotten the same request. My husband replies, " Yes, of course --- the usual fee is $50 per photo. " You wouldn't believe how quickly people move away! Marcy W.
Guest guest
Hello all, My hubby and I are both achons. There have been times (at least 5) that we have been out together and total strangers have approached asking if they could take a picture of us/with us. We always reply NO, but I was wondering has this happened to others? Also, what are some good come back lines? Thanks Barbara
Guest guest
Yes Barbara, I have had people come up to me on many occasions and ask if they can take a picture of me. Normally I tell them that is fine, but very rarely do they actually have a camera with them. But everynow and then they do, so I give them a smile...and ask if they would like to get someone else to take it so that they can be in it with me. They are normally shocked that I let them, but I figure it doesn't harm anything by letting them have a picture. <><
Guest guest
Dear Barbara: On occassion, total strangers have asked if they can take my photograph. A few years ago I was in San Francisco. Three strangers, all men wanted to take my photograph. I said no and walked away. As I walked I photographed them without their knowing. Afterwards, I thought about the interaction I had had with the men. I missed a great opportunity. As you may know, I am a photographer and I am always looking to improve on my photographic work. I carry my cameras with me at all times including a point and shoot camera I carry strapped onto my belt. Next time a stranger asks me for my picture I will agree on condition that they allow me to take several photographs of them with my camera. In addition, I plan to get the group of stranger or strangers to pose with me. I think the resulting images may be very compelling. Give it a try. Guest guest
Dear Barbara: Yes, I have had this asked of me and they even want our two achon children. I say yes they can take a picture but they have to sign a written statement that they will not share it and the cost is $10.00! I am joking but they take me seriously and move on!
