Guest guest
Here I am, the guy who doesn't like viruses posted to the list, putting up a virus warning. There seem to be two viruses going around today wreaking (I kid you not) worldwide havoc. One is called " Happy99.exe " and the other is " Love Letter for You. " All attachments are supposed to be automatically stripped out before they reach the Dwarfism List. Yet the Happy99 virus already got through this morning. I am waiting for word from eGroups as to what happened and why. In the meantime, if your e-mail program is set to automatically download and execute attachments, you're out of luck. That's a very, very bad practice anyway, and I guess all I can say it, you've learned something painful and valuable. Otherwise, make sure you do *nothing* with these files except delete them. These viruses, as far as I know, only affect the Windows platform. Mac users have nothing to worry about. =========================================================== Dan Kennedy Internet services coordinator Little People of America, Inc. http://www.lpaonline.org
