Guest guest
We are not happy with the Maury Show. The boot Camp kids have aired. they taped the same day as we did for the " I May Be Tiny, but I'm Big on Talent! " . I don't think Maury is as nice of a guy as we were told he was. Our episode was tastefully done and it allowed many of us to showcase our talents for EXPOSURE on a broader scale. As far as I can remember I kept my clothes on.....so I pulled my panty hose outta my pants over my head, I dont think thats " smut " ... I think thats called a " wedgy " . Guest guest
Thanks that's all I was trying to say, I didn;'t mean to offend anyone, it just upsets me that ppl allow themselves to be treated like idiots or thier children. ~Bon > I agree with Oichick. Guest guest
I thought Maury did a great job with our " little ones " . If you stop and think about it, he is the only one that has had LP's on his show in a regular basis and NOT TO MAKE FUN OF US!!!!! How much do you know about the " Primordial Dwarf " ? Check out the website:primordialdwarfism.com . As for Maury playing " hide and seek " with these kids-you have to remember he was working with 5 kids ages 6-12 years-with average age of 9 yrs. ,what should he have done-played Jeopardy? He was trying to show the audience just how tiny these kids were and how easy it was to lose one as he/she hid in the trash basket/behind the coffee maker-duh? I think it is great that Maury spends the time with our LP's-he cares about us and wants to help in anyway he can. talk with the parents of these kids or better than that talk with Jude or Tonyalee. Ask them if they felt used or misrepresented?? I don't think so!!!!! I for one would like to sugggest or recommend to the LPA Board that we consider recognizing Maury Povich for his Outstanding Work in Presenting the Lives and Struggles of Little People in Such a Postive Manner.! Are you reading this Matt? C.

I have seen Maury a few times when LP's are on. And more often than not I cringe. Perhaps one or two times I recall him speking to them as adults. usually his low-life audience is googling at us as if we are some sort of circus side-show or pity case. Guest guest
I have to disagree with you. Maury should neither be commended nor criticized by LPA for his treatment of LPs. I personally find him patronizing and somewhat sleazy. True, he is not as bad as Springer, or Sally, or Stern, but he, on occasion, does exploit LPs (aka " Odd Couples " shows, or when he sent the elderly LP lady out on the town with a couple of male strippers). If the board is going to spend its time and effort " recognizing " somebody, it should be one of those countless and nameless persons out there who geniunely advances the cause of LPs and disabled people in general (such as Colleen Fraser); not someone who makes a buck off our noteriety. -Bill Bradford DIASTROPHI@... wrote: > > I thought Maury did a great job with our " little ones " . Guest guest
I just watched 'My Fair Lady'.In the end,Professor Higgins asks Eliza, " How have I mistreated you?I treat you no differently than I do anyone else. " You say Maury is sleezy,ok,but he is the same to every guest. He is genuine. I'd sell out and go on his show for a trip to Disney:) Jill
Guest guest
I have been thinking about this a great deal and I think I would really like to go on some of these shows and talk about the things I do and would like to do. Things like how I enjoy strip clubs or how I would love to go on stage half naked and paint all of my scars with GLO in the dark paint and have only a black light on me. I would also like to go on as a ventriliquist act, I would dress as a puppet and have a guy over 6' tall sit me on his knee and be his act. I would also love to talk about how I love to make out with my girl in public and have people stare at us, or do things such as work on cars out in front of the house and close the hood on myself to see if people will stop. I am sure that I could fins lots of interesting topics to use for a show. Kurt
