Guest guest
I finally found the November issue of Good Housekeeping and I read the article about LeeAnn Bankowski. It was a great testimony of how we have the same prejudices day to day. I sure hope the ones out there who have discriminated against people because of height will read this and think. LeeAnn, good job for being a voice on our behalf for we all have dealt with the same issues. Dawn
Guest guest
The article was a great eye opener! I too was a preschool teacher, I felt the same way she did, about parents and being able to relate to my students. Now I work in an aftercare program with 1-6th graders, they realize I am shorter then the other teachers, and always comparing their height to me and say, I am almost as big a s you, I respond yes you are and soon you might be taller then me someday. They look up to me (not to far) and respect me as an adult, friend and someone they can talk with and trust. Way to go LeeAnn!
