Guest guest
This is the email I received today from the corporate office of Mimi's Cafe. They expect to roll out an official gluten-free menu for all Mimi's restaurants sometime this year: Thank you for inquiring about gluten free offerings at Mimi's Café. Most of our menu items do contain or have components made in facilities that process gluten, so regular menu selections are not recommended. As with individuals with any food allergies we insist that you, when seated, notify a manager of your presence and they will insure a safe meal by checking all labels of current or substitute products in the restaurant. Currently, we are developing a gluten free menu to be implemented in all of our restaurants. We aim to have this in place sometime this year. In the meantime our chef, Adam Baird, has written a guideline for all individuals with celiac disease to use for a pleasant dining experience at Mimi's Café. The document has four pages. First a statement from our chef, second an overview in general of our food and what's safe, lastly (and the best part!) is a recommended gluten free menu of all the things we can currently offer. It is not official but we can make everything stated and the document is available at our restaurant from management as well. This guideline is very similar to the gluten free menu coming later this year. Sue
