Thanks for the review Colleen. Where is Zest located?Sent from my iPhoneOn Jul 27, 2010, at 9:12 AM, "colleen" <colleen.mcguire@...> wrote:

Good News! I stopped by Zest yesterday at 4:00 and it was fully stocked with lots of delicious treats. We bought lemon-poppyseed bread and snickerdoodle cookies and my kids loved them! They also had three different kinds of muffins, 3 kinds of baguette (which my daughter loves), three kids of loaf bread, cheese cake, ice cream sandwiches(!), chocolate chip cookies, and other things I can't remember off the top of my head. It's been tough for the owner getting up at 4 everyday and working out the kinks will take some time, but I was happy to see a steady stream of customers while we were there chatting with him. I can't wait for him to start selling pizza. He's open late on Thursdays since that's the night of the San Farmer's Market, so that might be a good day to stop by. He's always great about having samples to try as well. Things definitely aren't perfect but I'm really excited to support this business through growning pains so hopefully we can have a fully -dedicated GF bakery on the Peninsula for years to come.

I also had a great experience at Zest yesterday. We went around 1 p.m.

and there was a good variety. We got two muffins and three chocolate

chip cookies, all of which were great! They're on Arroyo just west of

Laurel.

I was in San early Saturday morning and stopped by Zest. The aroma of the

baked goods was wonderful. Charissa (co-owner) and were so friendly and

welcoming - as welcoming as the decor. I purchased several items, but the triple

berry muffin was phenonemal; I wish I bought more. I saved half for my daughter

to try and she ate it in two gulps. I hope I will be back up north soon for some

more muffins.
